____________________________________________________________________ By creating or participating in meaningful activities, both children and adults often take comfort in coming together to remember their loved one. Grief Support groups (listed below) are designed to help children, families, and individuals express and cope with their feelings related to loss as well as to better understand and accept a loved one’s passing. A common opinion among participants is that “without the ongoing support they receive they don’t know how they would have coped through their grief.”
HPCNC hosts two memorial events during the year open to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one. See information below. Local support of our fundraising efforts ensures our mission is supporting all communities in Weld and Morgan Counties. HPCNC is not a revenue-generating organization, so the community’s generosity is vital to providing all patients and families the necessary services they need to live a comfortable, quality life. ____________________________________________________________________ 2006-7 Memorial and Fundraising Events November - National Hospice Month December - Tree of Memories May - Rainbow River Festival, Heart of Hospice Quilt June - Spring Memorial / Celebration in the Park August - Peaches for Hospice November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.
